Safari Safety 101: What to Ask Your Tour Operator Before You Book
A safari is one of the most extraordinary journeys you can take vast landscapes, close encounters with wildlife, and a sense of scale that's hard to describe until you've stood in it. It's also, understandably, a trip where travelers want reassurance that the people running it take safety as seriously as they take the experience itself. 1. Who actually operates your transport?
Many safaris involve more than one company behind the scenes the DMC that designs your itinerary, the camps you stay at, and separate charter or transfer operators who handle flights and road transport between destinations. Ask your operator directly: which companies will be flying or driving you, and how are they vetted? A transparent operator can tell you this without hesitation.
