This year's official theme, set by UN Tourism and hosted by El Salvador, is "Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism" a look at how AI is reshaping the way travelers plan their trips and how destinations are discovered, promoted, and managed.

The Tour Operators Society of Kenya (TOSK) is celebrating World Tourism Day with a hands-on gathering at Michuki Memorial Park in Nairobi — tree planting, a park cleanup, a fun day, and networking, open to members, friends, family, and the public.
The Sunbelle Adventures team will be there not behind a screen, but in the soil, alongside fellow tour operators, guides, and travel lovers who believe tourism should give back as much as it takes. It's a small but powerful reminder: while the global conversation turns to algorithms and digital platforms, the future of tourism in Kenya is still being built one tree, one conservancy, one community partnership at a time.
What This Year's Theme Means for African Tourism
